JUNIOR HANDLER AWARD PROGRAM

I want to remind everyone that Purina is one of our major sponsors for this program.  We want to thank Mr. Rod Carter, Mr. Eddie Wiley, and Mike Luchetta of Nestle Purina for putting this together for us.  They again have come up with some real nice Purina Jackets for the top Junior Handlers within the program.

DON’T FORGET WHAT PURINA DOES FOR OUR SPORT WHEN YOU SELECT YOUR DOG FOOD!

The following young Beaglers have been sent “SCHOLARSHIP MONEY” to help them out in their higher education.

Paige Miske has received $1,000.00 from the Leo Burris Scholarship Fund.  Paige was one of our top Junior Beagle Handlers in 2005 and 2006.

The Deep South Beagle Gundog Federation has selected Kaleb D. Moody for Scholarship Award and this program adds $500.00 for Kaleb.

The United Beagle Gundog Federation has selected Casandra Schaad for Scholarship Award and this program adds $500.00 for Casandra.

We wish these young people the very best in school and we are very proud to help them out.  This is only possible with your help and support for the Junior Beagle Handler Program.  I received this very nice letter from the Erie County Beagle Club. “This year the Erie County Beagle Club has donated their share of our 50/50 drawings to the Junior Handlers.  A friend from Louisiana, John Sherred won 2 days and also donated his shares.  Denny Hanisek one of our members donated his share from day 2 also!  We are pleased to send this check for $269.00 instead of our usual $100.00.  Happy 4th of July!”

Also received a $100.00 check from the Monroe Toledo Beagle Club, a $50.00 donation from Steve Harrison, and a $34.00 donation from Chuck Orr along with some anonymous donations.  All this makes it possible to send out the summer Junior Handler T-Shirts and the Purina Junior Handler Hats.  When you see the kids at your trial make sure they are more then Welcome!
