A Note from the President
November
30, 2011
Dear UBGF Club Members,
We want to thank all of you who participated in the UBGF All-Age
National Ch. Run-Off, Nov. 4-6. We had 247 entries, down 3 from
2010, and it must be considered a success considering these economic
times. Thank you to the judges, marshals, Anthony Wiley and the
entire kitchen crew, Butler Co.’s active membership, sponsors-
Purina and TriTronics, and the other
board members. Without their hard work, none of this would have
happened.
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that our building loan
has been paid off, 13 months early, as of
Sept. 1,
2011. It is unbelievable what has been done, by so many of you, in
ten short years. A sincere “Thank You” to those that had the
vision, donated money, provided labor, and especially to J. C.
Boyd for providing the loan of his monies.
It is my pleasure to welcome two new board members, Amy
Smotherman, our new Treasurer, and Brett
Jones, our new Conformation Director. We can never give enough
thanks to John Stuckwisch, for all he
has done for the UBGF with his years of service, and to Mike Mooney
for a great job as our Treasurer for the last two years.
Congratulations to
Green River
B. C. for being unanimously selected by the board of directors, to
be the host club for the 2012 UBGF Southeast Regional Run-Off, which
is scheduled to be held in February. Best wishes for
Green River
to have a huge success.
Don’t forget the AKC National SPO Championship Run-Off will be held
at the UBGF running grounds the weekend of April 14 and 15, 2012.
The UBGF
Derby
Championship Run-Off will be held
May 4 – 6, 2012.
Thank you for your continued support, as none of this could have
happened without each and every one of you!
Hope to see you all at the Run-Offs. Merry
Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
Yours in beagling,
Yours in Beagling,
